Did you know that The term “Dutch oven” is something of a misnomer in that the pots are neither Dutch nor actual ovens. Rather, it refers to the casting process developed in Holland by which brass vessels were cast in dry-sand molds. Cast iron cookware conducts heat beautifully, can cook with less oil in a well seasoned pan, chemical free alternative to nonstick pans and fortifies your food with iron.
