Pound cakes are hopelessly EASY to make but VERY satisfying to eat!!! Thanks to the ButterMilk, this is more moist than the Plainly Perfect Pound Cake. The little citrus hint from the orange zest took backstage to the crumbly cinnamon flavored streusel that is swirled throughout the cake – great flavour and texture to the otherwise, plain pound cake.

  • Cinnamon Streusel Swirl: all-purpose flour, light brown sugar, ground cinnamon, salt and unsalted butter.
  • Buttermilk Pound Cake: all-purpose flour, cake flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, ground cardamom (1/4 ground teaspoon nutmeg may be substituted), unsalted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, orange zest and buttermilk.
  • Garnish: powdered sugar for dusting
