Home-made Windmill Craft
No child’s play land is ever complete without a proper windmill, right? The more we see dotting our landscape today, the more appropriate it is to explore what they are and why they are important with our children, and, as all DIYers know, there’s no better way to do this than to craft!
All you’ll need is more than likely already in your home (an empty oatmeal container, some paint, two toilet paper tubes, a brad, blue, some popsicle sticks, colored paper and scissors). The next time you have an afternoon of free time and a craving for crafting, check out this article, and you’ll be set. Collect your supplies, collect your children, and begin!
This article is great because it includes one helpful picture of what the finished product will look like, and a few very simple instructions to guide you through any questions that arise. Have fun with the family as you make your toy windmills. They will be as unique and original as you are, and you can use whatever kids of paints and paper that you already have to decorate accordingly. They make a great gift for a friend’s play set, or keep it and add it to your own!
