Homemade Pumpkin Soap Recipe

Now that autumn has finally arrived, along with its cooler nights and shorter days, I’m already thinking about Halloween and Thanksgiving and all of the pumpkin and apple spice recipes that accompany them. I found a great article over at theprairiehomestead.com which gives you step-by-step instructions to make your own pumpkin soap!
Here is what you will need: olive oil, coconut oil, distilled water, pure lye, pure pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice – this is optional, clove essential oil (optional), cinnamon OR cassia essential oil (optional), Safety gear for handling lye (long-sleeve shirt, gloves, safety glasses, etc) and Equipment for making hot process soap.
