How to Make Perfect Pita Bread Every Time
Pita bread is one of my top choices for sandwiches! So portable! So neatly contained! So easy to eat! The pita’s you make at home are worlds apart from the stuff you buy in stores, and watching them puff to glorious heights in your oven or on your stove-top is culinary magic at its best.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- 1 cup water, at about 100F, or warm but not hot to the touch
- 2 tsp (or 1 packet) active dry yeast
- 1 Tbsp olive oil (plus more for coating the dough and oiling the pan)
- 2 tsp salt
- 3 cups all purpose flour (fluff the flour before scooping and levelling)
This is a basic, no skills required bread, but even though it’s a simple process, you’ll still get that primal thrill when you turn flour and water into pillowy rounds of soft, warm bread.Catch the full tutorial over at theviewfromgreatisland.com by clicking the link below… Enjoy!
