Pumpkin Carrot Cake
Carrot cake is typically associated with spring, but I like to enjoy carrot cake all year round! It is a dessert that is made from a root and a vine vegetable that is cooked into a mixture of water and wheat grain covered in milk and a form of sugarcane. This is where it came from and why it is a fall dessert.
Back in the days of old, harvest meant an abundance of food, so we celebrated by making a huge feast. The bigger the feast, the better the harvest, and the easier the winter will be. This recipe was created in partnership with Gold Medal Flour, however, The Baker Mama has her own thoughts and opinions on this dish. Give the recipe a try here.
